Maslenitsa Week events ended with a series of exciting gastronomic performances and folk festivities.
From February 16 to February 22, the cities and towns of the Vologda Region hosted the Maslenitsa festival as a part of the Winter in the Russian North project.
The visitors had a chance to take part in cooking and art master classes, sports competitions, interactive events and enjoy music concerts and stage performances.
Festival venues were decorated in Russian folk style. During the Maslenitsa Festival guests were able to taste different types of pancakes made of natural Vologda products with various fillings - jam, sour cream, berries, tvorog curd and honey.
The guests were told about the rich ancient Slavic traditions celebrating Maslenitsa.
