The City of Crafts International Festival of Folk Crafts was in Vologda on June 12-14. For the eleventh time, masters from dozens of Russian regions gathered in the city. Artisans from Georgia, Uzbekistan and Belarus also arrived.
Residents and guests of the city were invited to a large-scale fair and numerous master classes for children and adults. The festival included a competition where the best potters, blacksmiths, jewelers, carpenters and many others were awarded in seven nominations.
The masters presented their works in the following categories: "Women's crafts", "Wood and birch bark painting", "Artistic wood processing, weaving, carpentry and turning", "Felt boots and felted products", "Blacksmiths and jewelers", "Pottery. Ceramics" and "Keeping traditions alive".
Round tables, lectures and seminars were held for the participants of the festival.
