Library Night is held in all Russian regions on an annual basis. This is when libraries and art spaces open their doors to visitors in the night time. This day is an opportunity for people to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
Cultural institutions has prepared a special programme - concerts, lectures and workshops will be held on Library Night.
The project includes numerous events held at Vologda’s libraries - literary quests, workshops, musical performances and lectures. On April 26, libraries will turn into sites of memory and hero worship. The program includes events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
In many cases cultural projects are not only about the past, but also about the present. So some events in the Vologda Region will be closely connected with projects about a special military operation.
All activities will be connected with the magic of books, music and creativity. The city’s libraries invite everyone in Vologda for cultural exchange.
