The festival has been staged in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum for several years. This festival is one of the most spectacular summer events in Kirillov. Clubs from different Russian cities will take part in it.
The battle between the Russian soldiers and the Polish and Lithuanian invaders for the besieged medieval fortress-city will be in the centre of the action. More than 250 reenactors from all over the country will come to the Vologda Region to participate in it.
The program of the festival also includes a historical fair, medieval amusements and melodies of medieval music.
Local residents, guests and tourists will have a wonderful opportunity to plunge into the interesting historical epoch - the 17th century and see reenactment of the monastery defence against the Polish-Lithuanian invaders with their own eyes. They will also be able to take part in workshops organised by artisans.
