Ded Moroz set off on his trip to Russian regions on November 19, 2025. Ded Moroz' traditional New Year trip lasted till January 11, 2026. The train stopped at over 70 Russian cities and towns.
The Ded Moroz Train is a winter wonderland where children and their parents gather to make memories they’ll treasure year after year. The railcars are decorated beautifully to celebrate the season.
Ded Moroz' mobile home is a customized, festive train with New Year and Christmas decorations that features carriages for games and quests, a reception room, a gift shop car and a restaurant car. It enables children and their parents to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a winter fairy tale.
Ded Moroz train is Russia’s largest social project during the New Year holidays. The New Year project “Ded Moroz Train” is implemented by Russian Railways together with the Vologda Region Government. Ded Moroz in his mobile residence travels to Russian cities, congratulates children, and fulfills their wishes. In every city where the Ded Moroz Train makes a stop, visitors to the stations enjoy an entertaining festive program with the participation of artists and animators.
Since the first trip in 2021, Ded Moroz traveled around 108,000 kilometers to visit children and adults on a customized train by the Russian Railways. The fabulous train visited 230 cities throughout Russia and spent 244 days on the road. Everyone could come to meet him and take part in a New Year’s fairy tale.
