Vologda Region presents its economic and investment potential at XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that is held on June 5-8.

Over the last years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world as a whole.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is the main annual international economic and business forum convened in Russia. The forum covers areas like government and business leaders from the emerging economic powers, as well as leading global voices from academia, the media, and civil society and many more.

The Vologda Region plans to conclude about 30 agreements at the Forum for a total amount of about 150 billion rubles.

"This year the Vologda Region presents its own stand for the first time ever. The stand concept is based on the identity of the Vologda Region, its culture and traditions. Under the slogan "Place of power of the Russian world", we present the main achievements of the region in the agro-industrial and forestry complexes, and its tourism opportunities," said Georgy Filimonov, Acting Governor of the Vologda Region.

Main colors are red and white, they are typical for the Vologda Region, the accents are lace elements. The stand is also decorated with ts main symbol - Bird of Happiness and wooden elements that point directly to the rich forest resources of the region.

The stand of the region features multimedia and interactive materials, covering the main areas of the region’s economy: agro-industrial complex, forestry complex and tourism, ecotourism, gastrotourism, historical, cultural, religious, industrial and sports tourism.
