On November 4, the Vologda Region will present its rich tourism potential at VDNH, Moscow where the Russia International Exhibition and Forum begins. An interactive map of the region’s sights will be presented there. It will show locations of attractions and events of interest to tourists.
Tourism mapping is important to provide guidance to tourists in identifying and finding the best tourism spots in the area.
“The map will feature the main tourist routes and places that are definitely worth visiting. This interactive map will help anyone who wants to learn more about the Vologda Region and plan their own unique journey throughout the region”, said Deputy Governor Vitaly Tushinov.
The interactive map will make it possible to get acquainted with the history of Vologda lace, wooden architecture and Vologda carved palisades. The visitors will be able to learn about the rich spiritual and Orthodox heritage, local itineraries, traditional northern crafts of the region and why the Vologda Region is the called "Soul of the Russian North".
Using the map, guests of the exhibition will also be able to discover the Vologda Region and enjoy its culture, history and nature.
The Russia International Exhibition and Forum will open on November 4 and last till April 12. The regions of the Russian Federation, federal executive bodies, nonprofit organisations, state corporations, and foreign representatives will take part in it.
