The association "The Most Beautiful Villages and Towns of Russia" unites small settlements with outstanding historical, cultural and natural heritage.
The key task of the Association is to find interesting places and determine their potential, as well as to participate in the transformation of these places into developed tourist destinations.
Settlements are accepted into the Association after their assessment according to aesthetic, urban planning, architectural, historical, environmental and tourist infrastructure criteria.
Members of the Association “The Most Beautiful Villages of Russia” from the Vologda Region: Veliky Ustyug; Totma; the village of Ust-Pechenga (district of Totma); the village of Ferapontovo (district of Kirillov).
