The main goal of the forum is to develop the professional environment of literary museums, cooperation among museums and exchange of experience. Every year it takes place in a new place, significant on the literary map of the country.
This year the forum will be held for the 7th time. Earlier, it was held in Moscow, Ulyanovsk, Yalta, Yaroslavl and Tver Region. Now, it is Vologda's turn to host it.
Vologda’s museums, including the Vasily Belov Museum-Apartment, will become a magnet for literary experts and critics. The event is also significant for the Vologda Region because in 2022 it celebrates the 90th anniversary of the birth of Vasily Belov, Russian writer, poet and dramatist who was born in the Vologda Region.
The forum is organized by the Vladimir Dahl State Museum of the History of Russian Literature. The co-organizers are the Kirillo-Belozersky Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve and the Vologda State Museum-Reserve with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Vologda Region and the local government.
The forum will be focused on the discussion of activities of literary museums in Russia, museums of small forms, modern literary process and artistic culture in general.
