Residents of Veliky Ustuyg and tourists will be able to shoot a bow and crossbow, try on knight's armor and float in a medieval boat along the Sukhona River.
The opening of the Hansa Days will also be spectacular - it will be a theatrical procession, all the participants will be dressed in medieval costumes. In total, more than 5,000 guests are expected to attend this holiday in Veliky Ustyug.
Representatives of Russian cities and towns - members of the Union of Russian Hanseatic cities will get together in Veliky Ustyug to share their traditions with each other and discuss possible cooperation in economy and culture.
The program of Hanseatic Days will include official meetings of representatives of Hansa member cities and towns, craftspeople and musicians. Medieval atmosphere of the festival will be created in the streets of the city to show the diversity of traditions, culture and history.
