On the night of May 21 to 22, museums across the world will take part in the Long Night of Museums.
Night of Museums is an international event which is dedicated to International Museum Day. Usually on this night, local cultural institutions stay open extra-late to celebrate culture, science, and education. Museums show visitors the behind-the-scenes action and display one-off exhibitions and performances.
On this occasion, the Vologda State Museum-Preserve will prepare a special program - exhibitions, concerts, master classes, museum and theatre performances. Vologda’s museums will organize excursions and special activities for children.
The affiliates of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve - the Vologda Lace Museum and Museum "World of Forgotten Things" - will also participate in the international campaign Night of Museums.
