The exhibition-forum “Unique Russia” was held in the Exhibition Complex “Gostiny Dvor” in Moscow from January 27 to February 13, 2022.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2022 the year of folk art and the intangible cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation. The exhibition-forum “Unique Russia” was the 1st event within this programme.
This is an art exhibition popularizing traditional authentic products of artistic crafts and modern works of craftsmen from all over Russia. Its main objective is to show Russia’s rich cultural heritage, traditions of a multinational people, the diversity of culture and folk art, the uniqueness of each region of Russia.
The exhibition is organised with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs and the Fund for the Development of the Art Industry and Jewelry.
Over 1200 craftsmen from 53 Russian regions presented their masterpieces.Paintings, sculptures, architecture, arts and crafts, designer weapons, art dolls and antiques were on display in Moscow. Such brands of the Vologda Region as Vologda laces, linen products and Vologda's enamel jewelry were presented at the artistic and industrial exhibition “Unique Russia”. The Vologda Region has always been known for its artisans and craftsmen of the highest caliber.
