The Ded Moroz Train set off for a New Year journey on December 5 and travelled to the Black Sea coast.
The train stopped at Vologda, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Samara, Saratov, Astrakhan, Makhachkala, Gudermes, Nazran, Vladikavkaz, Nalchik, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Voronezh, Tula, Moscow, Pskov, Veliky Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk and other cities.
The Ded Moroz Train is a winter wonderland where children and their parents gather to make memories they’ll treasure year after year. The railcars are decorated beautifully to celebrate the season.
The Ded Moroz Express Train consists of 9 decorated wagons. Three of them are occupied by technical staff and an animation team. It also includes a residence car of Ded Moroz with a bedroom, two dining cars and a gift shop where one can buy souvenirs or send a letter to Russia's chief magician.
Ded Moroz travelled more than 14,000 kilometers and he stopped in 36 Russian cities. Everyone was able to hop on the magical express and feel the spirit of the holiday on the Ded Moroz Express Train.
It is planned that a journey of Ded Moroz Train will become a New Year's tradition. According to the organizers, next year the geography of the train will be expanded.
