Under the new Federal Tourism Agency incentive program, travelers will be able to receive cashback for tours to certain regions of Russia in 2020. The tour must include accommodation in classified hotels for at least five nights and a cost for the entire period of at least 25 thousand rubles.

Tour operators are invited to participate in the campaign. According to the Association of Russian Tour Operators, the promotion would begin in August and last through December 2020.

Rostourism has identified 44 Russian regions fully participating in the program: Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda, Voronezh, Ivanovsk, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Kemerovo, Kostroma, Leningrad, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Pskov, Rostov Saratov, Sakhalin, Sverdlovsk, Smolensk, Tverskaya, Tula, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl regions, as well as Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karelia, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Khakassia, Yugra, Kamchatsky, Krasno-Primorsky and the Khabarovsk Territory.

The tour must be purchased by the tourist on the tour operator’s website and paid for online. The bank card used for payment must be linked to the Mir payment system.

The amount of cashback depends on the cost of the tour. Russians will receive between 5,000 ($70) and 15,000 ($211) rubles. The tour must include movement by any means of transport.
