This time of year is traditionally a moment for reflection on the events of the past as well as a chance to look forward beyond the festivities of the New Year celebrations.
The year 2020 required maximum mobilization from all of us. It was not an easy year for teachers, social workers, entrepreneurs and many others. Doctors, nurses and other health care providers combatted the spread of the novel coronavirus infection in the Vologda Region. There are few people doing more to protect us than healthcare workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. They deserve our thanks and admiration in the best of times.
Despite all the difficulties, this year we have understood how many kind, sympathetic and considerate people there are around us. Such residents of the Vologda Region work at hospitals, kindergartens, schools, policlinics, construction sites, volunteer centers and libraries. We must mobilize all available resources to overcome the challenges ahead.
On New Year ’s Eve, I’d like to thank all the residents of the Vologda Region for your work, patience and support. My own thoughts and best wishes are with you and your families at this special time of year. Let me end by wishing you health and optimism and may all your wishes come true!
