On June 11th the Vologda Philharmonic Society presents the famous pair – Italian bandoneon virtuoso Gianni Iorio with pianist Pasquale Stafano in a program consisting largely of Argentine tango and jazz. The concert is sure to delight fans of the genre.
Gianni Iorio is one of the most acclaimed and appreciated Italian bandoneonists. Pasquale Stafano is a very good pianist with strong technical and musical quality. They started playing as a duo in 1996. They have recorded some discs, among them: Astor’s mood, A night in Vienna, Tango Mediterranean, D’Impulso.
