The international photo festival has been created by the Russian Photo Union. Its aim is to gather photographers from around the world, turning the town of Kirillov into an international centre of artistic expression focusing on photography. It will involve international artists from such countries as Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, the Chinese People’s Republic and Kazakhstan.
The festival in Kirillo-Belozersky monastery will be a great place to connect with the photographic community, providing a space for both professional and personal networks to flourish. It will include exhibitions, multimedia projections, lectures on different genres of photography, roundtable discussions, and lots of photo books.
The international photo festival in Kirillov will coincide with the traditional "Kirillo-Belozesrky siege", and the reportage depicting this spectacular event will be one of the tasks for photographers.
