The conductor-legend for the fourth time performed in Vologda. On October 5th Vladimir Fedoseyev, the legendary conductor, performed in the framework of VIII International Gavrilin Festival. The concert in Vologda was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Valery Gavrilin, the Year of Theatre and the 75th anniversary of the Vologda Philharmonic Society.
The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra gives concerts primarily at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. Vladimir Fedoseyev is one of the most famous Russian conductors. For more than 40 years he headed Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra - one of the main symbols of Russian culture in the world.
The international festival in Vologda is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
VIII International Gavrilin Festival was opened in Vologda on October 5 and will last to December 5, 2019.
The festival is organized by the RF Ministry of Culture with an active backing of the Vologda Oblast Government and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Vologda Oblast. The main objective of the event is to reveal new talents and to perpetuate the memory of Valery Gavrilin.
Musicians from Russian regions and foreign countries will participate in it. It is planned to organize numerous concerts, master classes and other festival events.
