TourStat agency published the list of the most popular Russian regions among tourists in 2018. The Vologda Region is in the list of Russia's most popular destinations during holidays.
The Vologda Oblast has much to offer the discerning visitor. The region has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the region, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
In 2018, the number of Russians who travelled to the Vologda Oblast reached almost 3 mln people.
The list includes fifteen regions whose attractions received the highest ratings from the audience of TourStat agency – Moscow, Krasnodar Region, Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Crimea, Primorye, Vladimir Region, Yaroslavl Region, Tatarstan, Tyumen Region, Leningrad Region, Bashkiria, Kaluga Region and Altai Region.
