The exhibition of Vologda’s lace will kick off at the Gewerkenegg Castle on June 16th, 2018 and it will last till September 2018.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to promote this brand of the Vologda Region in the European countries, to strengthen cultural ties between the Vologda Oblast and Slovenia and set up a partnership that will last.

Vologda has always been one of the main centers of Russian lace tatting, and in the 19th century it became the most famous one. It was that time when lace-makers began to tat lace patterns in the form of wonderful stars and snowflakes.
