The Vologda Region enters top 25 regions of Russia as a good holiday destination for foreign tourists, according to a study conducted by TourStat agency.
The Vologda Oblast has much to offer the discerning visitor. The region has a remarkable place on Russia's tourist map. With a unique cultural and historical heritage, the region, abundant with architectural monuments and arts, has great tourism potential.
In 2017, the number of foreigners who travelled to the Vologda Oblast reached over 30,000 people.
Vologda-New Year Capital of Russia’s North, an International Folk Crafts Festival «Voice of Crafts» and an International Lace Festival VITA LACE that are held in the Vologda Oblast on a regular basis entered the National Events Calendar 2017.
