On the night of May 14 to 15, museums across Europe took part in the Long Night of Museums. On this night, local cultural institutions stayed open extra-late to celebrate culture, science, and education.
On this day museums show visitors the behind-the-scenes action and display one-off exhibitions and performances. Many of them offer a free entrance.
Vologda’s residents and guests of the city also enjoyed the treasures of our past. On this occasion Vologda’s museums prepared a special program - exhibitions, concerts, performances, master classes and historical reconstruction. Vologda’s museums organizeed excursions, academic readings, museum and theatre performances, and special activities with children.
