Gonzalo Bergara – a music group founder – is a composer and a lead guitarist. His first CD “Porteña Soledad” was called by “Guitar Player Magazine” and “Vintage Guitar Magazine” editors a masterpiece.

“The Gonzalo Bergara Quartet” consists of Gonzalo Bergara on lead guitar, Jeffrey Radaich on rhythm guitar, Leah Zeger on violin, and Brian Netzley on upright bass. Their music is highly influenced by “Django the Great” and “The Hot Club of France Quintet”, which was one of a few famous all-acoustic jazz bands in 1930-s, as well as by the traditional jazz and music of Bergara's native city – Buenos Aires.

Besides solo albums, American and Argentinean musician Bergaga has published two guides on guitar playing and several educational CDs.

The VII American Folk Music Festival will take place on three different grounds in the Vologda Region during July, 15-17. They are the traditional for visitors Vologda Kremlin, the Open-Air Museum “Semenkovo” and Kirillo-Belozerski State Museum-Reserve.

The festival arrangers are the USA Consulate General in St. Petersburg, the Vologda State Museum-Reserve, the Kirillo-Belozerski State Museum-Reserve.
