The International Festival of Folk Crafts «Voice of Crafts» will be held for the second time. The regional centre will host it from June 25 to 28, 2015. It will be a present for Vologda on the City Day. The event will be again organized by the Centre of Folk Artistic Crafts and Trades «Carved Palisade».
«We still receive a lot of positive feedback about last year’s festival «Voice of Crafts». It took place for the first time in 2014 and united about 400 craftsmen from all over the world. This year the festival will be also large-scale. We will begin to accept applications next week”, said Valentina Potochkina, deputy head of the Centre of Folk Artistic Crafts and Trades «Carved Palisade».
This year’s event will include not six, but seven nominations: «Women’s crafts», «Painting on wood and birch bark», «Weaving using traditional materials», «Forging», «Felted articles», «Pottery» and «Forgotten crafts». Various workshops, interesting lectures and round table discussions will be organized for participants.
