An opening ceremony of Alexander Pesterev’s exhibition “Names” will be held in the Art Department of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve on February 19. This project includes paintings of the Vologda’s artist, a collection of distaffs and verses of local poetess Leta Yugai.

“The material of the display is united with the single philosophic perception of environment. The effects of lines, strokes, colour patches and rhymes of the lines create a peculiar melody, interlace in the incomprehensible balls of fire”, noted the organizers of the project.

Alexander Pesterev is a painter, graphic artist and sculptor of the Vologda region. He works in the aesthetics of modern art with classical materials. Minimalism of the medium, abstractness of the form, and expressionism in the expression of the idea are inherent in the artist.

The exhibition will be opened at 15 Sergey Orlov Street at 17:00.
